ray: i duno lol
ray: sometimes u <3 everyone
ray: then u hate them
me: HAHAHA
if i am not blogging here
that is probably a good thing. haha
i have been feeling much better lately and i am very thankful to Jesus for that.
also, happy tiff is only about a billion times better for everyone in her environment than emo tiff
this is also because it is in tiff's nature to exude everything that is inside of her
meaning if misery is felt, misery is spread. if joy, joy is spread! if love, love is spread.
it is very important to take care of your tiff. good thing she is attached to the Vine. with that, there will always be hope.
/doing my best to stave off emotion, stay normal.
//much love to the people who take care of her. u know who u are
into the darkness You shine
out of the ashes we rise
there's no one like You
none like You
our God is greater
our God is stronger
God, You are higher than any other
our God is healer
awesome in power
our God, our God
and if our God is for us
then who could ever stop us
and if our God is with us
then what could stand against?
and if our God is for us
then who could ever stop us
and if our God is with us
then what could stand against?
battle cry. the words of my friend's then non-christian boyfriend, after attending a church service, replay in my head: why does the church keep teaching everyone about negative things? why does it not empower the people to do good things?
conviction, action. if we, the body, were unified, with each other and with Christ, imagine the things we could do.
my co-worker, a refugee from Guinea, on his recent visit to Liberia, where he was rescued: the progress is much slower than i would like. the quality of health care at the hospital was very poor.. my younger brother died there last week. there were many disappointments. i would not recommend anyone to go.
why - why do we not just go there, all of us, and help fix things? why do we not risk our lives, give up our lives, for others? we are educated; even those of us without college degrees know more on how to do things than the people there. why is this so hard? why does humanity not care for one another? and why are the Christians not leading this charge? why are there not a million more humanitarian Christian organizations than there are secular ones? i don't understand. i don't understand what we are doing here if our future is already secured. what is there left to do except to give up everything and serve those in need?
imagine if all the Christians in comfortable America took our finances and moved to Africa. imagine the good we could do, living, teaching, caring, sharing the knowledge and abilities we have. imagine how glorified God would be, and how pleased with us He would be. imagine the suffering we would endure, the loss of safety and security, the absolute dependency on Christ that would grow.
we are so fearful, we are so safe. we think it is normal to stress over 401ks and saving up for houses and retirement. we think being unemployed is one of the worst things in the world. our world is fake. our security is fake. can't you see? tomorrow you could be hit by a truck. tomorrow you could find out you have cancer. all the cushioning we build up around us... we idolize comfort and security. because that is what our parents have done, because that is what everyone is doing. why think about if our f-ing faith means anything at all?
