    my future is not uncertain to God.

    the impermanence of relationships is always daunting.

    i thought i learned years ago that i cannot keep everyone that i love.  but i still get attached.

     

    there are so many people to pray for at home

     

     

    how can i do this

     

    these two lives and a future so uncertain.

    Only One Life

    Two little lines I heard one day,
    Traveling along life's busy way;
    Bringing conviction to my heart,
    And from my mind would not depart;
    Only one life, 'twill soon be past, 
    Only what's done for Christ will last.
     
    Only one life, yes only one,
    Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
    Then, in 'that day' my Lord to meet,
    And stand before His Judgement seat;

    Only one life, the still small voice,
    Gently pleads for a better choice
    Bidding me selfish aims to leave,
    And to God's holy will to cleave;

    Only one life, a few brief years,
    Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;
    Each with its clays I must fulfill,
    living for self or in His will;

    When this bright world would tempt me sore,
    When Satan would a victory score;
    When self would seek to have its way,
    Then help me Lord with joy to say;

    me: i get sad thinking i gave up something really awesome

    james: mhm i guess a part of it is accepting that may be the case, but that you're just headed in a different direction than where the awesome would have been

     

    i guess one can't have all awesomeness-es.  one has to choose.  thankful for you though.  ive been so blessed.
