tonight i spent time with some high school friends, one of whom is a new mom who opened up her newly-renovated house to us.
she said their dog always knows when the weekends are because he jumps on them in bed.
weekends.
bizarre.
this is how people who aren't involved in a church community live.
weekends are days to look forward to - to sleep in, to go to the park. to spend time in rest and enjoyment. to enjoy the company of friends you've chosen at a time in an activity that you want.
it has been a very, very long time, if ever, that i had such a lifestyle.
i have to sleep now. i am tired from spending a day working on a video to share about my missions trip to india. tomorrow i have worship service and a meeting to discuss people's commitment and desire to read the bible together. also, i am helping a friend out with his resume and possibly printing out some india photos at church to display. are there other things i would rather do with my time? i don't know. i have no idea.
church = instant life. is that how it is supposed to be?
how about christianity = instant life. what is the purpose of church? is church actually helping people?
this bubble.
